BARN is a curated community built for experienced leaders in robotics and robotics-adjacent fields. To maintain a high-trust, high-signal environment, full membership is limited to individuals who meet the following criteria:
You must be:

A current or former founder in the robotics space, or
A senior leader (e.g. CTO, VP Engineering, CMO, Director of Product) at a robotics or robotics-related company
Your company must have:

Raised $1M+ in funding, or
Generated $500K+ in annual recurring revenue (ARR)
Alternatively, you may qualify if:

You are a professor-level academic conducting research in robotics or closely related fields (e.g. computer vision, simulation, autonomous systems, or AI)

We interpret this broadly — if your work intersects with enabling technologies like perception, control, autonomy, simulation, or machine learning for physical systems, it likely qualifies.
If you don’t meet the above criteria, but you are on your way (say, a pre-revenue and pre-funding founder, or a grad student planning to start a company soon), we invite you to join as an affiliate member. Affiliate members can join our Slack affiliate channel (which includes all full BARN members as well), and join our quarterly open BARN meetups.
